This mosque, constructed for Mohamed Ali, the ruler of Egypt for over 45 years, is a masterpiece of architecture. Lastly, you’ll explore Old Cairo, visiting the Abu Sirga Church, the Hanging Church, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. Proceed to the iconic Qaitbay Citadel, a fortress built on the ruins of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria. From here, you’ll enjoy stunning views of the Mediterranean coast. End your Alexandria experience with a visit to the world-renowned Alexandria Library, a modern tribute to the ancient Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
